Don't Eat Garbage

If you know you will have a hard time resisting something then don't buy it! If it's something that you already bought and you are eating too much of it then do what I do: I say to the food "you have no power over me" and then I throw it in the trash. Then if I want more I just throw it in the trash since it's just garbage and I don't eat garbage. That way you probably won't spend your hard earned money on it again and the temptation will be gone.

Repentance

The best thing to do if you mess up and eat something you shouldn't is to "repent". I call it this because it is so similar to repenting from your sins. Recognise that you've done your body wrong and then don't do it again. Don't just give up and eat whatever garbage happens to be around eat healthy the next day. Recognise that everyone makes mistakes, YOU made a mistake, it won't ruin all of your plans as long as you do better next time.

6 long years ago...

On my 21st birthday I realised that I was ruining my life. Quite literally I had been systematically destroying everything good in my life this was not on purpose, of course, but I was doing it none the less. I decided that things needed to change. That is when my long journey to health began. I'm now 27 years old. Sometimes I work harder at losing weight than at other times. I suppose that is why it is taking me so long. But I've realised that losing weight is easy...changing your life is the hard part.
